What the Mustard Seed Means

In biblical times, the mustard seed was a well-known symbol of something small that grows into something great. A mustard plant can grow up to ten feet tall from a seed barely a millimeter in size. Jesus used this image to remind us that our faith — however small, however fragile, however new — is never too little for God to work with.
